Norwegian Air’s Irish Services Boost New York Airport Passengers!

A report said that in recent months, flights from Ireland helped to double the passenger numbers at a New York state airport.

The Norwegian Airline of Irish began flying to Stewart International Airport in New York State from Belfast, Dublin and Shannon, as well as Bergen in Norway and Edinburgh, Scotland, last summer.

The Director of Stewart’s business development Michael Toreli said that the in September the passenger traffic was 45,667, which is an 89 % increase on the same month in 2016. And the volume of passenger in October was 51,967 that is a 117 % increase on the same month last year.

In local Daily Freeman News, a report noted that Stewart handled 356,714 passengers, 53 % more than during the same period last year in the 10 months ended October 31st.

Norwegian also started their services from Ireland to Rhode Island, Providence, around the same time.
