Those passengers who are connecting through Heathrow Terminal 2 (The Queen’s Terminal), will provide the benefit of faster transfer experience.
Star Alliance to begin team up with Heathrow Airport more than a decade ago to provide a superior Alliance travel experience to the customers.
Included Facilities Are:
- Passing through security within the same concourse that will provide a more convenient and faster travel experience.
- Making better use of their time on the ground between flights.
- Passenger can relax in the Air Canada, Singapore Airlines or United lounge those have the First or Business Class or holding Star Alliance Gold Status.
- Deploying throughout the terminal to give passengers more control over their journey.
In addition, Star Alliance member airlines and Heathrow together will now provide a more seamless transition with optimized aircraft stands allocation for the passengers.
This will provide a stand close to the departing aircraft so that passengers will only need to walk a matter of steps for their next flight.
The Vice President of customer experience Christian Draeger said: “It is our main aim to provide the best possible Alliance travel experience at Heathrow T2 to the passengers. A special emphasis is on optimizing the transfer experience through the airport which is served by more Star Alliance member carriers than any other.”
He also added: “Having all member carriers placed in the terminal has allowed reducing the minimum connecting time between flights and with the additional security in T2B. It transfers via Heathrow Terminal 2 that is becoming even more convenient and attractive for our customers.”
Including shorter connecting times, the member carriers can offer a vastly improved travel experience to the approx. 12 million customers.
Director of Airline Business Development Simon Eastburn said: “T2B becomes a much faster transfer experience for Star Alliance customers. These improvements mean passengers have much more time to relax and enjoy ‘me’ time with our beauty bar or to grab a cup of coffee and some gifts for their family.”
Simon also remarks that “This enhances the already Award-Winning airport service Terminal 2 delivers for our passengers.”

Aegean Airlines, Air China, Air Canada, Air India, ANA, Air New Zealand, Asiana Airlines, Avianca, Austrian, Brussels Airlines, EGYPTAIR, Croatia Airlines, EVA Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa, LOT Polish Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, South African Airways, Singapore Airlines, SWISS, Turkish Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, THAI and United.
Both together operate over 117 flights to 44 destinations in 27 countries from Heathrow per day. Every flight provides the full alliance network access to 1,330 airports in 191 countries.
